PACIFIC COAST AVIONICS CREATES GLASS PANEL
FOR GLASAIR SPORTSMAN TWO-WEEKS -TO-TAXI PROGRAM
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, March 13, 2012, Aurora, Oregon — Pacific Coast Avionics, the exclusive panel builder for the Glasair Sportsman Two-Weeks-To-Taxi Program, continues to respond to increasing customer demand for more panel sophistication and capability. Commenting on the success of the Program, Dewey Conroy, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Coast Avionics said, “Over the last five years we have completed more than eighty panels for Glasair customers who have built airplanes under the Two-Weeks-To-Taxi Program, and this latest panel is an excellent example of how we help expedite the building process.”
To ensure accuracy in fit, form, and function, Pacific Coast Avionics has installed a Glasair forward frame in its shop, which allows them to mount the panel and then build it out knowing that everything will fit perfectly. The finished panel is a true plug-and-play installation since the builder and the factory lay-in all the aircraft wiring with connectors during construction. The completed panel from Pacific Coast Avionics simply mounts to the frame and plugs in.
The most recent example of a Glasair panel from Pacific Coast Avionics is a “first” in that it features the Advanced Flight Systems AF-5600 10” EFIS, giving the panel true glass cockpit feel and functionality. The equipment list for the panel includes dual Advanced Flight Systems AF-5600 EFIS screens with Engine Monitor, Advanced Flight Systems Autopilot, Garmin GTN-750 Touchscreen GPS/NAV/COM with remote mount GMA-35 Audio Panel, GTX-33 Mode S Transponder, controlled through the GTN-750 and SL-30 NAV/COM. Dewey Conroy went on to say, “Solving avionics problems and meeting specific customer requirements is what we do best. We are pleased to provide the design and installation capabilities that result in this extraordinary example of a custom panel, and we are thoroughly committed to the continued support of Glasair.”
Pacific Coast Avionics has become known for its full custom panel installations and has completed custom panel installs on a wide variety of piston, turboprop and jet aircraft since 1991. Pacific Coast Avionics is also recognized as a major supplier of avionics, instruments and pilot supplies to customers worldwide and provides sales and service representation for all major avionics manufacturers.
