FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE, December 11, 2012, Aurora, Oregon    Dewey Conroy, Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of Pacific Coast Avionics has announced the completion of  their latest RV-10 custom panel. This particular panel is for an Australian customer and marks the thirteenth time that Pacific Coast Avionics has completed a panel for an international customer.

Commenting on the project, Dewey Conroy said, “This was a unique project in that the aircraft builder has not yet started construction on his aircraft. Our completed panel will be delivered to the Vans factory to be included in the shipment of the aircraft kit to Australia. The panel specifications were determined in a meeting with the aircraft builder while he was at the Vans factory and fabrication was begun immediately in order to meet the shipment schedule.”

Commenting further on the project, Conroy said, “This project came to us on the basis of recommendations from both Vans Aircraft and Advanced Flight Systems, manufacturer of the EFIS and autopilot systems that went into the install package. We were pleased by the level of confidence placed in our capabilities by Vans, Flight Systems, and the aircraft builder.”

The custom panel includes the latest glass panel displays and controls and includes the following:  AeroSport Fiberglass Panel, Throttle Quadrant, Console, and Lighted Switches; Advanced Flight Systems AF-5600 EFIS Displays; Advanced Flight Systems AF-Pilot Autopilot System; PS Engineering PMA-8000BT Audio Panel; Garmin GTN-650 Touchscreen GPS/Nav/Com; Garmin SL-30 Nav/Com; Garmin GTX-330/ES Mode S Transponder; Artex ME406 ELT; and a Vertical Power VPX-Pro Electrical Control System for monitoring the complete electrical system on the EFIS displays.
