The Artex ME406 series ELT is designed especially for general aviation aircraft worldwide. The ME406 transmits on 406.028 and 121.5 MHz and is identified by serial number or aircraft tail number. Upon activation, the ELT transmits an encoded digital message to the COSPAS/SARSAT satellite system every 50 seconds providing immediate search response and accuracy within 3 kilometers. Features include a five year battery and mounting that is compatible with most existing ELT housings. The ME406 "ACE" replaces ACK and Ameri-King ELT's without replacing cables and has same rack hole mounts and switch panel cut-out.
