SC-5 Superclock

The SC-5 is a fully functional, panel-mounted aircraft clock. Displays Local Time, Zulu Time, 12 & 24-hour formats and an engine timer. Has Up timers and Down timers with programmable alarms. The instrument runs off a 10-year lithium battery that keeps the clock running even if the aircraft battery is removed.

Timers

• Up timer and down (DN) timer with programmable alarms.
• Engine Time keeps track of total time the engine has run.

May be set to display in a 12 or 24-hour format. Displays Zulu Time. A 10-year lithium battery keeps the clock running even if the aircraft battery is removed. Displays an Up Timer. This Timer will start running when the engine is started. In this manner the Timer acts as an automatic Flight Timer. The Up Timer may be started, stopped or reset. A Recurring Alarm may be set to alert you at appropriate time intervals. Example: If the alarm is set for 30 minutes, you will get an alarm at 30 minutes, 60 minutes, 90 minutes, etc. This alarm can be used to remind you to check your fuel level or switch tanks at set time intervals. Displays a Down Timer. This Timer counts down from a programmed start time. The Down Timer may be started, stopped or reset. Warning lights above the LCD display will blink if the Up or the Down Timer times out. Displays an Engine Timer. This Timer acts as a Hobbs Meter. When the engine starts, the Engine Timer will run. The Engine Timer displays total engine time in hours, tenths and hundredths of an hour.

Local Clock – In this mode the SC-5 will display Local Time. The Local Clock be switched between 12 or 24-hour format. Because of the 10-year internal battery, the time is accurate and will keep working even when aircraft power is turned off.

Zulu Clock – In this mode the SC-5 will display Zulu Time in 24-hour format. Local Clock – In this mode the SC-5 will display Local Time. The Local Clock be switched between 12 or 24-hour format. Because of the 10-year internal battery, the time is accurate and will keep working even when aircraft power is turned off.

UP Timer – Starts counting up automatically when your aircraft’s Master Switch is turned on. In this way the Timer acts as a Flight Timer.

Pilot Programmable Recurring Alarm may be set to alert you at appropriate time intervals. The yellow LED marked “UP” will blink when the pilot set alarm is reached. Once acknowledged, the UP LED will stop flashing the timer will continue to count up and will alert you when you reach the recurring alarm again.

Down (DN) Timer – Pilot programmable down timer starts when the START/STOP button (left button) is pressed. When this timer reaches 0:00, the yellow LED marked “DN” will blink until you push either button.

Engine Time – The SC-5 acts as a Hobbs Meter by displaying the total time the engine has run. The engine time will increment when the engine is running and cannot be reset.
